Green Sky Sustainable Design offers both Extensive and Intensive green roof design, installation, and maintenance for commercial and residential properties including new builds as well as retrofits.
Extensive Vegetative Roofs: typically feature 2” to 4” growing medium and select plant choices, holds a saturated weight load of 16 to 35 lbs per square foot and accessible for maintenance purposes only.
Intensive Roof Gardens: typically feature 6” to 12” or more of growing medium and diverse plant choices, holds a saturated weight load 40 to 200 lbs per square foot, and accessible for numerous purposes such as gardening and entertaining.
